So since it's summer, you'd think this place would have lots of highlights, because summer's supposed to be fun and it's not school. And yet, here I am, writing about how boring my life is and the absence of highlights. So far I've had one sleepover and went to the beach about 2-3 times.
And no one goes on this website anymore anyways. ~♫

So, I went to Hawaii, which means I missed a science and math test. And now I have to take them on Monday. -_-
I guess it was worth it, though. The weather was okay. We ate a lot of ice cream and snow cones. We went swimming a lot, and although it was strange not having the dogs with us, it was definitely more relaxing. Some of the beaches we went to had coral reefs and I saw fish. I didn't get to take pictures of them, though, because I didn't have a water-proof camera or anything like that. Some of the fish were colorful, others had striped patterns, and most were about the size my hand (if not a bit larger) but some were bigger than my head. ._. I'm pretty sure I saw a mongoose once, too. If it wasn't a mongoose, I don't know what it was (not a squirrel; I'm certain of that). We also saw two sea turtles on the sand, but they were sleeping. At least I hope they were asleep. O_O Pretty sure one of them moved its head a little. Like I said, the weather was okay. But Hawaii in springtime isn't exactly the best. It was a bit rainy for about two of the days out of the week we were there. It was still hot and humid, which is great when you're at a place where there're a lot of beaches. However, the waves are another story. They were crazy. Great if you're a surfer, but not the best when you want to go swimming or snorkeling. At summertime the beaches are generally calm with little waves. One beach we went to this time had really tall waves. If you go out into the ocean a little, most of the waves will gently lift you up a bit. But sometimes there were these waves that were like solid walls speeding towards you (Okay, I'm exaggerating a bit, but they were pretty painful). If you got hit by one of those, you were likely to go down. We didn't stay very long at that particular beach. We went to this other beach, which is actually a bay. It's apparently really popular with tourists. We only got to go there because we left the hotel really early. It was a lot calmer and... fun. Yeah. That's the place I saw the most fish, I think. The plane ride wasn't boring (I played games, listened to music, slept, and watched stuff), but it also wasn't smooth. It shook a lot. More than other plane ride I've been on. It definitely made the ride less dull. To be honest, the safety procedures thing they go over before the plane takes off did a better job of scaring me than reassuring and informing me. The ride was only 5 hours, and they passed pretty quickly, even though I don't sleep well in aircraft. Other than all that, the flight was fine and we (miraculously) reached our destinations safely. All in all, it was a great vacation. Hot, humid, and occasionally a bit rainy, but nevertheless great. ~♫ Today in P.E. we had to perform our dance to the whole class. The dance we created had to incorporate dance moves we learned from class and from outside also. Well, we thought it would be cool if we used a Chinese song (regretting it so bad right now). We barely practiced our dance and well, you know what happened. The first part we were okay until the music got faster and we had to dance faster. Not so great. I was crying on the inside when we messed up and wanted to dig a hole and die in embarrassment. After we got off the stage, people started giving us compliments?? Like?? All I can say is, there was a group worse than us (I think) and I quickly forgot about this event because I had more problems I needed to worry about than this. Pretty sure after we performed, students from my class told their friends who told their friends about how stupid we looked. -jen (song below, its already cringey enough with the song but we just had to make it more apparent with our messed up dance) -jen |
*Beware: our life is lacking highlights, so if we post anything on here, its probably really important.
